Expanding the horizon for Japanese traditional music! – Thrilling live wadaiko and shamisen performance, fusing tradition and innovation

A progressive Japanese music concert fusing tradition and innovation, featuring Japanese traditional instruments –Tsugaru shamisen (a three-stringed Japanese musical instrument) and wadaiko (traditional Japanese drums) will be staged at Japan Expo. Japanese musicians not only cherish traditional styles, but are also constantly experimenting with new sounds. Japanese performers Kenji Furutate and Keisho Ohno will captivate audiences with a mix of Japanese music and digital sounds, incorporating ma, the cadence interval in Japanese traditional music, and Western rhythm. Witness the two performers as they expand the possibilities for Japanese music through their dedication and commitment to traditional instruments, while adding freshness and innovation to tradition so that it continues to evolve.
