“YÛGEN” Nô x 3D image directed by Amon Miyamoto
Director Amon Miyamoto fuses Noh by Kanze School Noh performers with 3D images, opening up a new chapter of Japanese culture!
A new genre of performing arts fusing Noh by Kanze School Noh performers and 3D images under the direction of Amon Miyamoto will make its debut in Paris. The performance is based on traditional Noh pieces “Shakkyo” and “Hagoromo”, and 3D images are used to express Japanese nature, creating a world of Yugen (delicate beauty) on stage. Special 3D glasses will allow the audience to enjoy a fascinating mix of 3D images and Noh. The performance creates a new era in Japanese culture by fusing a form of traditional Japanese performing arts with the latest technology.
