Taiko – Eitetsu Hayashi and EITETSU FU-UN no KAI
The world’s first Japanese taiko drum soloist, Eitetsu Hayashi and EITETSU FU-UN no KAI, a powerful taiko performer unit produced by Hayashi, will be giving a live performance that blends tradition and innovation
Eitetsu Hayashi began performing as a taiko soloist in 1982 and has contributed to building the foundation of modern Japanese taiko as a stage performance. Working with musicians from various genres including rock, jazz, classical, contemporary and folk music, he has developed a unique taiko style that is clearly distinctive from the traditional form. He has created many original stage productions including a series focused on the lives of artists, and has achieved great success as an ingenious musician in Japan and abroad.
EITETSU FU-UN no KAI is a group of young highly skilled taiko performers from around Japan who share passion for Hayashi’s music. The group also performs independently in Japan and abroad, enthralling audiences with their powerful, emotional performances.
The powerful drumbeats and innovative staging infused with a touch of traditional Japanese stage production are sure to resonate with the French audience.
