Contemporary Dance: “Is it worth to save us?” by Kaori Ito x Mirai Moriyama

Can Dance Save the World?!
A first duo piece by Kaori Ito, a choreographer and dancer with a strong presence in France, and Mirai Moriyama, a versatile performer with wide acclaim.

Kaori Ito, an internationally renowned choreographer and dancer, also an associate artist at the Maison des arts de Créteil, and Mirai Moriyama, an actor and dancer known for his astounding work, will come together for a first duo dance piece. Their collaboration exudes a sense of being out of place, as if they are creatures from another world. There is a strong resemblance to the characters in “Utsukushii Hoshi (A Beautiful Star)”, a science-fiction novel written by Yukio Mishima. The dance is based on the inspiration that Ito drew from this novel. The movement of the two dancers will lead us to think about the relationship between people, where a warm relationship can suddenly turn cold in an instant.
