Enfance / Childhood
A joint Japanese/French exhibition will be held to introduce visitors to a wide range of work by Japanese, French and international artists, including Japanese manga artists, French artisans and others who embrace a contemporary approach.
An exhibition of contemporary art by artists from Japan, France and other countries under the shared theme “childhood” will be held at Palais de Tokyo, a venue known for cutting edge contemporary art.
Large pieces by contemporary artists and French artisans will be displayed in an expansive 3,000m2 maze-like space to address topics such as childhood fantasies, myths and growing up.
The exhibition will provide a rare opportunity to see the work of about 20 artists from Japan and other countries, as well as a collaborative piece between Japanese manga artist Yuichi Yokoyama and French artisans.
